Virginia Robertson

After a thiry year hiatus from art work outside of her Primary classroom, Virginiahas ressurected her brushes, and invested in oils, acrylics, and watercolors.

"I am looking for my comfort zone among the various styles and genres in the artworld. Each time I feel I've found my preference, I discover another skill from theopposite end of the spectrum. Someone recently called me a renaissance woman. That label quickened my heartbeat, and my resolve to learn more and to adventurewith the arts. What a wonderful experiential time of my life!"

A two room cook's house outside the main house has experienced a renaissance ofits own since Virginia's retirement...from a storage unit into her art studio.

"I began to regain some confidence as an artist by painting rugs onto the old floorsof my studio, fringe et al. This took an entire summertime. Next, I practiced on ablue garden gate, with peacock feathers on one side, and Monet's waterlilies on theother. Finally, my confidence progressed to canvases. Presently, I treasure each day, each attempt to express myself artistically.
